DSC_0191DSC_0192DSC_0886DSC_0189Hi All, this is the first style post in a while as I have been traveling its been hard to keep up with all my posts for the blog but, I promise I still have posts from California, London, Dubai and now Spain as well. I have recently become quite obsessed with blush and nude tones. I think it looks so clean and is easy to mix and match. With all the Pre-fall collections carrying in-between pieces there is plenty nude options for your wardrobe.

In this look I share my favourite way to mix nude with pastels and of course my favourite accessory colours of Black and Gold for a feminine outfit perfect for light, late nights!

Trending Tuesday #7 Baby George

ImageDSC_0743Britain Royal Baby

Baby George is now 1 week old and ironically yesterday would have been Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s 32nd Wedding Anniversary. Well aside, from Baby George being a King in waiting I had to make a post to discuss the outfit Kate choose to wear. I could hear the world all aaaaaahhhhhh’ing at the first sighting of HRH Prince George but, it was the way new Mum Kate stepped out into a sea of flashing photographers in a gorgeous blue Polka Dot dress looking calm, cool and collected i.e fabulous that caught my eye! I had only been discussing moments earlier that events like this for the Royal Family are so pre-rehersed for safety reasons, suddenly I spotted that Princess Diana had also worn Polka Dots when she left the hospital with Prince William how every surprising. Well, I think they both looked great and I have recently been thinking how feminine and lady like Polka Dots look, if they are good enough for Princesses they are definitely good enough for us commoner’s.

Did you like Kate’s dress?

Summer essentials

As you can all see from the blog I have been busy going back and forth between Dubai and Amsterdam but also traveling as and when required. I often don’t have long in one place and therefore try to pack as light as possible and you can see what is in my suitcase right now here on the blog.

My other essentials are my beauty products currently making the cut. I recently received Wolford hand cream which is super nourishing and great for post flight. Of course if your in the sun sunscreen is essential and I am a big fan of Hawaiian Tropic. I also always find my lips get cracked after flying so kiehls lip balm saves the day. As I like to see as much as possible when I m away I love the wallpaper guides because they have all the information in a lightweight little book which easily fits in a clutch bag for when your wondering the city.

What’s your essentials?

Home Away from Home

A Home away from Home is the definition of a perfect hotel, one where you feel comfortable and want to come back to again and again. Well, in Amsterdam I have found that little gem.! On my last trip I had to put all my stuff in storage and wait for a new perfect place to come up in Amsterdam so meanwhile for my birthday I checked in at the Canal House. Located in the heart of Amsterdam on the Keizergracht, this is an excellent place to stay to be able to enjoy all the best Amsterdam has to offer on your doorstep.

Behind the perfect Amsterdam Canal House exterior lies a serene and beautiful hotel. This was the second time staying here as I have previously stayed here before moving to Germany at New Years Eve. Both times, my rooms have been gorgeously designed and the bathroom’s are so inviting that you want to spend hours in there (I don’t usually take long to get ready). Now, the beds let me tell you about those! When, I have been running around like mad in the day I like nothing more than jumping into bed and at the Canal House they must be the most comfy beds ….. guaranteed a great nights sleep.

If your coming to visit Amsterdam or looking to have a domestic free weekend in the city then I can highly recommend the Canal House, excellent service where the staff can’t do enough for you. They leave an essential guide to whats on in the city as well as other reading material that its possible you never have to leave.

In the Park

Hey All, Here is my first style posts from Amsterdam. I am hoping to share more of my looks from Amsterdam over the summer but, I am actually not going to be there much ,,,, again. Well one of my favourite places to go to meetings and spend time in a park is Westergasfabriek. This week Amsterdam Fashion Week is taking place at Westergasfabriek and I am loving all the catwalk shows so far with some really original and unique designs.  The most difficult thing about dressing in Amsterdam is that you never know what the weather is going to bring and riding around on my bike often poses footwear issues!

For this first look I wore: Scarf: Mille Rostock, Top: HM Nederland, Jeans: Paige Denim, Trainers: Nike, Bag: Balenciaga

This second look was for an hanging out at Toko MC at the Westergasfabriek. The sun was shining and I felt like suddenly wearing lighter colours for the light evenings. Being in Dubai over summer means I always miss the light till 10pm so was happy to ride my bike in late evening without lights!

What I Wore: Jacket: Maje, Top: Forever 21, Jeans: IRO, Trainers: Nike, Bag: Balenciaga

Do you enjoy light late nights in Europe?

Yado’z Favourites

Yado’z means grandma in Emariti Arabic and yesterday I introduced you to Mohammed Harib the creative genius behind the UAE’s favourite grandma’s from the TV show Freej. As I explained yesterday, Mohammed see’s Freej as a brand and Yado’z are the products that were once our Grandma’s favourites but, reproduced for the modern day. I loved the products especially for the fact that they were made in the UAE, yet I could see how they would work in Holland for example. Yado’z produces different Emariti inspired items that also support and give back to the community.

The cushions are perfect for indoor and outdoor use and I love that they have the Arabic calligraphy on them in neon colours. Imagine your white or black garden furniture with a gorgeous Middle Eastern cushion …. coming to a garden or balcony near you soon!

The Smart trays with the intricate details are just gorgeous for home and have been carefully designed for the Bookiyas so you no longer have to worry about spilling your coffee pot all over your poor guests because this tray holds everything in place, and if your like me I would use the Bookiyas for sugar and spices!

The T-shirts were designed for charity to help people who need wheelchairs. All the t-shirts have been designed with the UAE culture in mind but given a modern twist …. I love the super man t-shirt with the Burqa hidden in the logo.

But, now my absolute favourite thing about the Yadoz products is that they all go so well together, the t-shirts can be packaged in the Bookiya. The bookiya can be held in place in the simple coffee trays and can be used for so many other organisational needs. The cushions can be stored in the ottoman boxes that can also be used for indoor and outdoor use. Yado’z produces different Emariti inspired items that also support and give back to the community. If your looking for the perfect gifts for people from the UAE that are different from the usual tourist gifts then look no further than Yado’z.

To find out more about Yado’z follow them on facebook and twitter.

What would you choose to put in your bookiya?
