last look of summer

DSC_0623top detailsIMG_0190

Hey all, Whilst were in the midst of Fashion Weeks and I think I can safely say summer is over here in Amsterdam I thought I would show you my last summer outfit. I was running to a lunch with a friend and thought I would try and go bare legged and of course I judged the weather wrong and was freezing.

Here is a new favourite skirt for fall, I love the shape and of course the Metallic skirt is perfect for winter to add some colour to my usual darker outfits. I am already imagining I will wear it with my new knee high boots that I got from the HM Paris collection. I actually rushed to buy them when they went on sale last week. I had been dreaming about them since I saw them on the catwalk in February. The funniest part, I actually put fashion before safety and rode my broken bike to HM to buy the boots and decided to fix my bike on the way home! As the weather is already changing and I am heading back to Dubai I hope I can show you some fall looks before the sunny weather will strike my wardrobe again.

What I Wore: Top HM (many seasons ago), Skirt: ASOS, Jewellery: MADE, By Sophie, Sophie’s closet, Bag: HM

Hope your having a great weekend!

Ciao for now

Mood Monday #6 Jackets

As I post this I feel it maybe a little premature but, one of the best things about blogging is that I can spend endless hours on the web ‘window shopping’ and say its work! This weekend I was surfing the web and was drooling over jackets on offer for fall. This time of year is always difficult and I love the pre-fall collections but sometimes they just don’t hit the mark either. Now, I must say its still sunny outside here in Amsterdam but, my Arab blood means I am usually colder than my friends here and unlike some women my fetish is not shoes but jackets! I have lots of them and love them. I have always worked in a corporate environment and so a jacket is perfect to make your work outfit look super smart and for me also an essentil when traveling as planes are freezing!

I am loving the three above which I saw on Matches.com. Left to Right: Camouflage jacket by Christopher Kane, The perfect casual jacket: Stella McCartney, Smart Casual Jacket by A.L.C

Which one of these jackets would you want?

Ciao for Now xx

Dream Dress

MW1MW2DSC_0233Hey All, Here is my last look I wanted to show you from Portugal. This has to be one of my favourite dresses. I found it at Harvey Nichols at Mall of the Emirates in Dubai where Matthew Williamson’s best pieces are sold in Dubai. I love this dress because it fits just perfect and this is often hard to find when your petite. I didn’t have to take it to the tailor or make any adjustments.

Before on the blog I have talked about my love of Matthew Williamson’s designs and its because each season his pieces always could fit into my travel plans for the year with his typically Eastern influences on his Western dresses, perfect for the UAE. From when I saw this dress on the catwalk, I had been dreaming about it. To add a little simplicity to the dress I get the jewellery minimal with just my evil eye bracelet (colours match perfectly) and some simple white shoes. I have been loving the white shoe trend this season and I think they definitely made my tan look much stronger!

What I wore: Dress: Matthew Williamson, Shoes: Zara and Bracelet: By Sophie

What’s your dream dress?

Ciao for now xx

DSC_0343DSC_0337DSC_0340dsc_0340 3Hey guys, here is my first look from Copenhagen Fashion Week, luckily the weather was good to us since I hadn’t really packed for bad weather. I was able to go bare legged which I am loving at the moment as I still have my tan from my holidays. Dashing across town I choose some comfy shoes and I am loving these ones right now and even better I got them on sale. ¬†I think you can’t go wrong with a denim shirt and loved team this with my new faux-leather skirt. The bag was a recent purchase and I love the purple hue and best of all I can fit all my blogger essentals in there like my SLR and notebook ….. doesn’t get better than that!

Shirt: Massimo Dutti, Skirt: ASOS, Bag: American Apparel, Watch: American Eagle Outfitters, Shoes: Zara, Sunglasses: Versace

Are you still loving the denim shirt look?

Ciao for now xx

Here is my last look from London, after trawling Columbia Road and Shoreditch you can read all about that here. I took some photos with some of the street art in the area wearing my new favourite jeans. I am having a bit of a love affair with nude and blush colours at the moment and when I saw these jeans in Harvey Nichols Dubai I had to have them. The star vest is a new purchase from J Crew on my recent trip to West Coast US. You can read all about my stay in LA and road trip north on the blog and catch up with my recent travels to London too.

What I Wore: Earrings: Ralph Lauren, Top: Black vest from HM Nederland and Star T-shirt J Crew, Jeans: Paige Denim, Bag: Zara, Sandals: Bazaar Istanbul, Sunglasses: Versace

DSC_0174DSC_0174 2DSC_0168Hey All, hope your having a super good weekend the weather here in Amsterdam luckily got much brighter and hotter this week just in time for Gay Pride yesterday (a lot of fun). Anyway, while I was back in Dubai I went to the textile market and saw this material which, I thought would be perfect for making Kaftans. It looks a lot like the famous Missoni print and I loved the colours. I love to wear my kaftans on the beach or round the pool but, also on Sunday’s when I am just lazy and hanging around at home. I bought this material in bulk and have made a long and short Kaftan so far and hope to to make some more with longer sleeves for later in the year.

This look is from Portugal where the sky was blue and the sea just perfect, I will post more about that trip as soon as possible. In the mean time I hope you like this look?

Would you wear a Kaftan at home?

Ciao for Now
